John Phillips is a visionary Senior Design Engineer at the helm of the Interdisciplinary Design Lab at the University of Guelph. Starting his journey in mechanical engineering, John's trajectory led him to biomedical applications, earning him a PhD in Engineering. Along the way, he collaborated with a professor on impactful environmental projects. John's innovation didn't stop there; he played a pivotal role in introducing the university's first 3D printer – an FDM/ABS model. This transformative step seamlessly integrated 3D printing into the Design Curriculum, forever impacting students' learning journeys.
