Our booth and attendance at Fan Expo Canada 2016 was a great success! We had the chance to talk to so many prop-makers and cosplayers who really enjoyed the specific props we 3D printed and finished for the show. So many times as 3D printing enthusiasts, we KNOW what 3D printing is capable of that we don’t just commit and show others what you can do with it.Most attendees couldn’t believe that we printed the full size Rebellion sword from Devil May Cry, a full sized Hanzo bow from Overwatch and a full sized sci-fi energy rifle prop for an upcoming short film. It really put into perspective what 3D Printing can do to unleash the creativity of all the artists that dropped by our booth. The overwhelmingly positive response at our booth really made 3 intense weeks of 3D printing prepwork worth it.
The other aspect about 3D printing props is also to show that this isn’t something that is restricted to a print shop like us to produce. In fact, we have 4 customers which we showcased and jointly promoted on our booth who were our living examples of taking their Ultimaker or Formlabs printer to the next level and making a business out of it. Junction Printworks showed off her cosplay props with McCree’s hat and belt buckle, Heroes workshop with their Hanzo bow, Henchmen Props with their D.Va pistol and headphones and finally Celso with his SLA printed Kylo Ren. Thanks to all our customers who showed off their props at our booth to the attendees! Enjoy a small gallery of some of the highlights of the prints and show.
