Thanks to our global open source community, advancements in 3D printing never stand still and the new Ultimaker 2+ and Ultimaker 2 Extended+ were recently launched with new printing innovations. We promised there would be backwards compatibility, so today we’re launching the Extrusion upgrade kit for the Ultimaker 2 and Ultimaker 2 Extended that will be showcased at SXSW 2016 later this week.

The easy-to-install upgrade will give your printer the same abilities as our latest Ultimaker 2+ models:

  • Geared feeder for increased reliability: The innovative feeder allows you to easily swap filaments and choose the correct pressure for your filament.
  • Swappable nozzles for greater control: Now you can easily switch between 0.25, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mm nozzles for greater detail or faster print speed.
  • Optimized airflow for smoother prints: The innovative new fancaps ensure the airflow is aimed perfectly below the nozzle and equally from both sides.
