Flexible build plate
The flexible steel build plate allows easy, toolless removal of 3D printed parts, making it possible to reset the UltiMaker S7 in a fraction of the time it normally takes. 25 magnets and 4 pins securely hold the plate in perfect alignment, allowing for one-handed operation. A sensor prevents a print from starting without the build plate present. And the flex plate's PEI coating reduces the need for glue or build plate adhesion structures for some materials.
New inductive printhead
The success or failure of 3D prints hinges on their initial layer. The UltiMaker S7 has introduced a new inductive sensor that is capable of detecting even the slightest irregularities on the build plate's surface with greater precision and reduced interference. The machine is factory-calibrated for bed tilt, eliminating the need for manual adjustments and the possibility of mistakes by users. These advancements enable users to initiate a print job and leave it unattended with increased confidence in achieving a flawless first layer. Always-fresh 3D printing materials The Material Station on the UltiMaker S7 Pro Bundle stores material in an environment below 40% relative humidity. This keeps the filaments pristine and leads to higher print success. It's like the spool never left its packaging.
Designed for ultra-low maintenance and tested to be left unattended, the Material Station allows the UltiMaker S7 to print longer – day or night. Loading material into the Material Station takes seconds – not minutes. Simply open the door and drop the spool into a bay. During a print, any spool not in use can be switched out.
Each of the Material Station's material bays have NFC readers and reinforced prefeeders for integration with UltiMaker Cura and Digital Factory. Every spool is kept at 40% relative humidity, making it easy to realize more 3D printing applications with almost any combination of polymers and abrasive composites.
