ASA (Acrylic styrene-acrylonitrile) is an opaque thermoplastic 3D printing filament with similar mechanical properties to ABS but superior UV and weather resistance. Therefore, it is commonly used in outdoor applications which can retain their color and properties.

Recommended Print Settings

  • Nozzle temperature (°C): 240-260℃
  • Bed temperature (°C): 75-100℃
  • Layer height (mm): 0.1-0.25 mm
  • Printing speed (mm/s): 25-80 mm/s
  • Cooling fan: Low or off
  • Drying temperature (°C): 80℃

Printing Notifications:

  • For a better bed adhesion, brim or raft are recommended and set bed temperature at 110 °C and turn off the cooling fan for the first few layers.
  • PLA can be used for break-away support material for ASA.
