Why did you decide to start an online store and what, if any, is the philosophy behind BIBIPINS?
I decided to start an online store because I needed to make money for my medical costs in a way that wouldn’t harm my health. I wanted to do something I enjoy and push myself to learn skills I’ve always wanted to learn like 3D printing.
The philosophy behind BIBIPINS is to create cute and accessible things to brighten people’s lives! Which is why I have an array of products.
What came first: The shop, or the 3D printer? You have a mix of products, from traditionally handmade candles to the 3rd party manufactured enamel pins based on your unique designs. How did you decide to include 3D printed items in your mix?
The shop came first. I decided to start to learn to 3D print because it was a skill that I’ve always wanted to learn specifically for cosplay (costuming as a hobby) but I wanted to be able to create unique plant pots. I love plants and wanted unique pots for myself and others!
What has been the biggest challenge you faced while getting started 3D printing? What did you do to overcome that challenge?

I have created an updated version of my Kitty Enamel Pin Clutch Remover! It can be used to remove enamel pin's clutches and many other items! It can also help those with issues with fine motor skills.

My biggest challenge was being overwhelmed by the big initial learning curve when I started 3D printing. Initially my prints weren’t great because I didn’t set up my machine properly, then I had issues with 3D modelling, then I had adhesion issues with my prints. But I never gave up, I would always take a step back and search for ways to resolve my issues whether it was watching YouTube videos, asking friends for advice, upgrading a part of my 3D printer or figuring it out myself.
Shop3D provided you with some eSun PLA filament to experiment with. Did you find it different from what you were working with previously? Do you think you'll continue to try different filaments?
I loved the eSun filament, I didn’t have any issues with it. With some filaments I had tried, the filament would tangle, break or just not print as nicely. I also love how shiny and smooth the eSun filament prints!
I think I may try other filaments, but I will definitely have to grab more eSun filaments in the future!
@batbushka kindly commissioned me to make Tokyo Mew Mew Ichigo's pendant!

I designed, printed, sanded and painted it all myself! I printed it using eSun eSilk filament in Gold that was kindly provided to me by @Shop3Dca 💕. pic.twitter.com/t6bAX2XF5o
My inspiration comes from my love of plants, cute things and wanting to make things that make people’s lives better and make them smile.
You have such a variety of creations so far. Which item is currently your favourite?
My favourite item in my store has to be my Flower Case! It can be used for medication, jewelry and more. It helps me stay organized.
Many thanks to Abi for taking the time to speak with us today. It's exciting to see small businesses adding 3D printing to their repertoire as the technology becomes more accessible! We can't wait to watch her business succeed. If you'd like to help with that success, check out her shop here.
Here's my latest new horns! They've been added to my store! I've also restocked some other horns!
