Charity Spotlight: Save the Children Canada

Many ludicrous things are happening around the world today, with wars and traumatic events taking the lead. While we continue our busy lives, some things are hard to ignore. One of these is children being stuck in the middle of these events. At Shop3D, we believe that children should not have to suffer due to disagreements between leaders. The trauma of the horrors of war may scar them for the rest of their lives over the futile quarrels of adults. 

As a way of helping in our little way, Shop3D has made donations to Save the Children Canada, a charity organization dedicated to saving children’s lives and ensuring that they and their families are protected during a crisis. 

As our "donation to charity" loyalty reward for this quarter, we're encouraging you to use your points to support these affected children through our Loyalty Program.

Why Donate

• It's the little we can do: Donating in no way absolves our continued responsibility to create a better world. It also doesn’t compare to any type of direct help that can be contributed to helping those on the ground. It’s what little we can do to hopefully contribute to some help in light of the crisis.
  
• Give access to health and nutrition to children in war zones: Prolonged inaccessibility to food due to war, displacement, or destroyed crops can negatively impact the nutrition of children. Donating can provide them with much-needed healthcare, food, and mental health support.
• Water, sanitation, and hygiene: Your donation could help provide access to clean water and sanitation in places with no water and poor hygiene caused by stagnant bodies of water that lead to life-threatening illnesses or diseases.
  
• Access to uninterrupted education: One of the main focuses of Save the Children is ensuring children can learn regardless of who they are, where they live, or what’s happening around them. Your donation will go a long way to ensure this becomes a reality for children caught in the middle of humanitarian crises.
