Introducing the Mosaic Palette 2/2Pro + 1.75mm Ultimaker Adaptor

June 24, 2019

Philadelphia, (June 24th, 2019) - Mosaic Mfg., the creators of multi-material printing product Palette 2 and Palette 2 Pro announced at the ISTE Ed-Tech Conference 2019 the release of the 1.75mm UM Adaptor.

With the support of Ultimaker, Mosaic Mfg. has developed a simple adaptor that allows Ultimaker 3D printers to print reliably with 1.75mm filament. This adaptor unlocks the ability to use Palette 2 and Palette 2 Pro and 4 color/material printing on all Ultimaker 2 and Ultimaker 3 printer models!

Introducing the 1.75mm UM Adaptor available now!

The 1.75mm UM Adaptor consists of 3 components which can be installed or removed from the Ultimaker 3D printer in less than 10 minutes:
1) 1.75mm Bowden Tube
2) 1.75mm Feeder Drive Arm
3) Hot End PTFE Sleeve

A pilot group of Ultimaker owners have been using their Ultimaker printers with Palette 2 since early 2019 and have produced some incredible products with them.

Jeff So at Render Labs is using Palette with the 1.75mm UM Adaptor and his Ultimaker printers to bring their show-room models to life. Jeff tells his story in the video below (see the full story here).

Cameron Stern has implemented Palette 2 Pro into the production workflow with his Ultimaker printers at Stern Design Works in Brooklyn NY. Check out a sneak peek of his story in the video below and the full story here.

Ben Lewitt is another user in the Ultimaker & Palette 2 pilot program. Here is what he had to say about his experience with Palette 2 and his UM2+:

“From the moment I entered the 3D printing space, I wanted to explore multi-color/multi-material printing. Enter the Ultimaker filament adaptor kit and the Palette 2 Pro. With an ingenious adaptor kit from Mosaic, now my Ultimakers can print reliably using 1.75mm filament and switching back to 2.85 is trivial. Being able to run 1.75mm is more than mere convenience, too.

Because with the Palette 2 Pro, it enables a whole world of multi-color printing options that never were possible on the 2.85mm machines. The staff at Mosaic are the best too…  Fantastic customer service AND support. I am loving the creative options that are now open to me with the Palette 2 Pro AND the ability to realize them using my reliable Ultimaker printers!”

Here are some other examples of the vivid multi-color products printed with Palette 2 Pro and the 1.75mm UM Adaptor on Ultimaker Printers:
