Fixed Mode for Max Accuracy
The Pro 2X 2020 projects a light pattern from the center aperture during the scan, as dual cameras on the top and bottom triangulate the projected pattern onto the object to generate a light assisted 3D point cloud of the object in 30 frames per second. The software also tracks the position of the scanner in 3D space to follow your movement as you pass over the desired scanning area, adding scanned data as you move.
Versatile Scan Modes & Align Modes
Supports Handheld Rapid Scan, Handheld HD Scan, Fixed Scan without Turntable, and Fixed Scan with Turntable modes as well as multiple alignment modes including feature alignment, markers alignment, turntable coded targets alignment, and manual alignment.

The best way to get an accurate scan for an item which is dark and/or reflective is to spray your object with a matte spray like Aesub. This allows the scanner to accurately pick up all the details of your object.
Photogrammetry (while able to produce decent results with just software and any camera available) still has a few flaws. There are many variables which can affect the accuracy of your scan including camera lens distortion, settings, lighting and shadows. With the EinScan Pro 2X 2020, everything is self contained within the unit. It projects it's own light and allows for the use of HDR mode to vastly simplify the setup and repeatability of your scans. Once you are happy with the point cloud data, you can delete the points you don't need with an intuitive lasso tool right inside the scan program. You are then able to process the point cloud into a water tight mesh. Everything is automated with custom controls, allowing for the production of usable high resolution meshes with ease and predictability.
