Art Program

We are giving underfunded artists the opportunity to bring their creations to life with 3D printing. In an effort to give back to the community and encourage more creative uses of 3D printing, we are offering select artists a free 3D print of their design. See terms and conditions for details.

Vancouver Art Space

Our spacious Vancouver showroom transforms into an event art space, allowing digital artists to display their 3D printed works for limited events. We’re looking to collaborate with schools and art groups. Contact social@shop3D.ca to organize an event.

Collaborations

We worked with @AlienToiletMonsters, Eric Barnett & Carol Zara to bring their iconic stylized 2D characters into the real world as toy collectible prototypes! Without 3D printing, it would be an impossible decision to create one-off toys of cult fan favorites.
We worked with sculptor Laura Marotta to 3D print joints for her rhombicuboctahedron multiples. These were created for Inc. Squared, a Hamilton artist fundraising event. Joints were printed in Standard clear on the Formlabs Form 2.
From April Fools tease to real deal, we worked with digital artist Melissa Chiu to print this statue of Lon’qu from the Fire Emblem game series. Printed in Standard Grey on the Formlabs Form 2.
Application
We’re looking to feature impressive designs that creatively use 3D printing.

Selected projects will qualify the artist for one free 3D print to be mailed to them (postage paid), a digital photo set of the piece to be e-mailed, and promotion on the Shop3D.ca website and social media pages. In return, we may print 1-2 copies of the piece to display in our Brampton and Vancouver showrooms. Fill out the form to apply.
