Shop3D.ca is where Canadians find the best desktop 3D printers, laser engravers and vacuum formers for engineers, educators, and maker spaces. With some of the coolest 3D printing showrooms in Toronto and Vancouver, we have both and online and offline presence.

List of responsibilities

  • Assisting in shipping, labeling, packing and picking items for orders
  • Communicating with customers online and in store about 3D printing and scanning related inquiries
  • Respond to customer emails covering a variety of needs from product questions, shipping, support, and logistics
  • Using and maintaining showfloor printers for print jobs
  • Work on 3D printing projects and quoting customers for 3D print requests
  • General cleanup and organization of showroom and warehouse to ensure efficient operations
  • Stock counting & inventory
  • General tasks around the store
  • Assist in organizing events in showroom

The right candidate should be able to present themselves with confidence in a team lead role at Shop3D.ca’s flagship showroom. They will be assisting operations for managing the store inventory and serving customers in-store, by phone or on chat. Candidates should be proficient with FDM/FFF 3D Printers, SLA 3D Printers, and other desktop manufacturing technologies.

Operating in a small team environment, they should be able to lead and delegate tasks to utilize all available resources and connect with HQ for higher level operations and planning by remote conference.

Working hours:

9:30-6pm Monday-Friday

Should live within <45 minutes from the Store, have full license and own transportation.

Required Experience:

  • 1-3 years of store assistance experience
  • Have at least 1 year of 3D printing knowledge
  • Must own or have used a 3D printer (FDM or DLP). Familiarity with Ultimaker, Formlabs, and Raise3D is a bonus
  • Familiar with in-store sales of high-end electronic equipment to a distinguishing clientele
  • Proficient in working with libraries, school boards, and small businesses to implement a 3D Printing or Laser Engraving solution.
