Forward AM | Ultrafuse® HiPS 2.85mm Filament

Forward AM Ultrafuse HiPS is a high-quality engineering thermoplastic. HIPS is well known in the 3D-printing industry as a support material for ABS.

Print Settings
  • Nozzle temperature 260 ± 10 °C
  • Bed temperature 100 ± 10 °C
  • Bed modification (Blue painters) Tape
  • Active cooling fan No / Yes (up to 50%)
  • Layer height 0.1 – 0.2 mm
  • Shell thickness 0.8 – 1.0 mm
  • Print speed 40 – 80 mm/s

*Settings are based on a 0.4 mm nozzle

HIPS filament is a great material to use as a support for ABS because it dissolves in D‘limonene. Now you have the opportunity to create ABS models with complex geometry. With this lightweight material, your prints will have a beautiful matte finish. Our HIPS is easy to post process with glue or with sanding paper. The composition of the material makes it ideal for painting.
