BASF Forward AM Ultrafuse® HIPS Filament (2.85mm, 750g) is a high-impact polystyrene filament designed for durable prototypes, functional parts, and soluble support applications. Compared to standard polystyrene, HIPS offers improved toughness, dimensional stability, and impact resistance while maintaining excellent printability. It can also be dissolved using d-limonene, making it a valuable support material for complex geometries printed with ABS and other compatible materials.

Support Material: HIPS

HIPS filament is a great material to use as a support for ABS because it dissolves in D‘limonene. Now you have the opportunity to create ABS models with complex geometry. With this lightweight material, your prints will have a beautiful matte finish. Our HIPS is easy to post process with glue or with sanding paper. The composition of the material makes it ideal for painting. To provide users with valuable information we have collected data regarding the mechanical properties of the printed material according to the ISO standards.
