January 04, 2022

Increase print speed by 20-40% and streamline post-processing!

Today, Formlabs announced two new SLA 3D Printers, the Form 3+ and Form 3B+. We actually started shipping these printers prior to our public announcement and are excited to let you know you have one! To confirm this, look for a plus symbol in the bottom left corner of the sticker on the back of your printer.

To correctly identify the printer tock you have here are some snippets to help you: Current stage of new printers shipping under old label as below (if ordered F3-PRINTER until launch): You can see the label sticker on top of the original label if you zoom.

To take advantage of the improved print speeds, surface finish, and reliability that the Form 3+ and Form 3B+ offer, simply download the latest version of PreForm and update your printer firmware. Your printer will then identify and function as a Form 3+ or Form 3B+ accordingly.
