Resin Cheat Sheet

Product Draft Resin V2
Cure Temperature -- / 60 °C
Cure Time (Form Cure V1)
Cure Time (Form Cure V2) 1 / 2 min
Wash Time 10 minutes
Special Notes

Wash

  • Tackiness has been observed on part surfaces when washed in IPA with more than 5% resin concentration. Use fresh solvent if your parts remain tacky after washing.
  • Avoid washing Draft for longer than the recommended time.

Form Cure V1

  • Draft Resin has two post-cure settings. For better elongation, post-cure with no heat for 5 minutes. For better tensile strength, post-cure at 60 °C for five minutes.

Form Cure V2

  • For better elongation, post-cure for one minute at room temperature. For better UTS, post-cure for two minutes at 60 °C.

Product Highlights

Top Features

While accuracy, reliability, and part quality are important, we know that time is valuable and sometimes, turnaround time is key. Using feedback from customers, Draft Resin was developed by Formlabs, specifically to balance speed with prototyping accuracy needs. Draft Resin is great for same day design iterations, jig and fixture prototyping, and quickly printing large parts.

From fast print initiation speeds to minimal support removal, wash, and cure times, Draft Resin has an optimized workflow to truly maximize efficiency.

Draft Resin is perfect for truly rapid prototyping and printing large parts or multiple part assemblies quickly.

This version of Draft Resin is a reformulation of a previous version. This current version offers improved surface finish, a more professional appearance, and is easier to use.

V2 supports print resolutions 100/200 microns.

Technical Specs

  • Draft Resin V2 is now available for dental applications.
  • Improved surface finish: the newest formulation prints at 100 or 200 micron layers, compared to 300 microns for the previous version.
  • Post-curing is optional (check TDS)
  • More professional appearance: the newest formulation offers a new grey appearance for professional looking presentation models.
  • Easier to use: the newest formulation takes advantage of Formlabs LFS technology to reduce support touchpoints and minimize Form Wash and Form Cure times.
