Form Studio Wash+Cure is an all-in-one, compact, and affordable post-processing unit that handles both washing and curing for your resin 3D prints.

Washing mode: All resin 3D printed parts need washing to remove residual resin. Form Studio Wash+Cure agitates IPA or alternative solvents around parts for thorough, efficient cleaning. When washing is done, simply raise the internal basket out of the solvent to let parts air dry and avoid over-soaking, warped prints.

Curing mode: Using 405 nm light, Form Studio Wash+Cure completes the chemical reaction started during printing. Post-curing boosts part strength, toughness, heat resistance, and creep resistance, while leaving a harder, less tacky surface.

Form Studio Wash+Cure is compatible with IPA, TPM, and Resin Washing Solution.

Is there a heater in addition to the light during curing cycles?

No.

Can customers cure every Formlabs material in this unit?

No. Some high-performance engineering resins, such as Rigid 10K, require extended curing at an elevated temperature (70°C), which Form Studio Wash+Cure cannot provide. Standard materials like Tough 1500 cure fully in about 30 minutes with no added heat.

Are the wash and cure settings the same across Form Studio Wash+Cure, Form Wash, and FormCure?

No. Form Wash and Form Studio Wash+Cure use similar agitation, so wash time runs close to identical between the two. Form Cure runs at higher power than Form Studio Wash+Cure and adds a heating function, so curing on Form Cure runs three to five times faster.

Do customers wash with the lid open or closed?

Closed. This is the recommended setting for two reasons: it reduces IPA evaporation, and it is the safer configuration. An enclosed unit contains IPA vapor. An open unit lets vapor escape into the room, where it could reach an open flame or another ignition source nearby. The enclosed wash is the lower-risk setup, not a hazard.

Will Form Studio Wash+Cure have cure and wash profiles?

The unit you purchase will have a default setting of 5 minutes for washing, and 5 minutes for curing, which works for Alpha resins. The machine does not have a stored profile - it remembers the last used profile. So if you change the wash to 3 minutes and use it, the next wash will default to 3 minutes. After a print finishes on Form Studio 1, the UI will display wash and cure times for Form Studio Wash + Cure.
