Alpha Model Resin delivers exceptional detail with a deep, fully matte, neutral finish that brings even the finest crevices, textures, and intricate features to life.

Create highly detailed scale models, lifelike sculptures, and richly textured miniatures with thin, flexible features designed to bend rather than snap. Finished models are built to better withstand painting, transport, and accidental drops.

The Alpha Resin Family features low-odor components, with post-processed parts meeting safety requirements for long-term skin contact. Alpha Resins are the first 3D printing materials to achieve UL GREENGUARD Gold certification when printed on Form Studio 1 using the VOC Extractor.

Alpha Model Resin is exclusively supported on the Form Studio 1.

Wash

  • When using a single wash bucket, residue from previously washed parts deposits on part surfaces. If washing darker-colored materials like Black Resin in the same wash bucket as lighter-colored materials like White Resin or Clear Resin, some color transfer may occur.

  • UL GREENGUARD Gold Certified: Alpha Resins are the first and only 3D printing resins to earn UL GREENGUARD Gold certification, an independently tested standard for low chemical emissions, when printed on Form Studio 1 with the VOC Extractor.UL GREENGUARD Gold certification applies to Form Studio 1 printed with Alpha Resins and the VOC Extractor. Form 4 and Form 4B can use the VOC Extractor for air quality, but they are not being tested for GREENGUARD certification at this time
  • Low-odor: Alpha Resins use only low-odor chemicals for a more pleasant printing environment
  • Vetted ingredients: no chemicals with known long-term effects on organ or reproductive health, and none that are acutely toxic or skin irritants
  • Skin-safe: parts meet ISO 10993 requirements for long-term (>30 day) skin contact when printed on Form Studio 1 and post-processed per Formlabs guidelines; printed parts are non-cytotoxic, non-irritating, and non-sensitizing
