This resin requires post curing

Flexible 80A Resin is the most stiff soft-touch material in our library of Flexible and Elastic Resins, with an 80A Shore durometer to simulate the flexibility of rubber or TPU. Balancing softness with strength, Flexible 80A Resin can withstand bending, flexing, and compression, even through repeated cycles. This material is well-suited for cushioning, damping, and shock absorption.

Resin Details

Flexible 80A Resin is a stiff, soft-touch, translucent elastomer with an 80A Shore durometer that is ideal for prototyping rubber-like parts with the flexibility of harder rubber or TPU. Parts printed in Flexible 80A Resin can withstand bending, flexing, and compression, even through repeated cycles.
Applications

Handles, grips, overmolds; seals, gaskets, masks; cushioning & shock absorption (80A Shore)

Special Notes

Wash

  • Wash parts printed in Flexible 80A Resin V2 in two cycles, preferably using fresh solvent for the second wash.
  • Formlabs does not recommend using Resin Washing Solution to wash parts printed in this resin.

** Parts with two wash times require two wash cycles. For the second wash cycle, use clean solvent. The first wash cycle removes the bulk of the resin, while the second cycle fully cleans the parts.

Cure

  • Form Cure V1: Place dry parts in a glass beaker (or other UV-transparent container) and completely submerge the parts in room temperature water. Place the container inside the Form Cure and post-cure for 5 minutes with no heat. Remove the parts from the container, dry them, then post-cure in air for 5 minutes at 80 °C.
